Light Energy Company – Light-Shaker LS1

This product claims to be the smallest unit offering LED light therapy in a solid stream as well as continuous for relief of pain and to promote healing. The problem with this Light Shaker is the fact that it runs off a battery offering only 20 hours of time. For someone who has extensive pain, you would need a lot of batteries before you get relief. You can use it for acupuncture points but you would have to be right on the spot to have it work.

The one inch diameter would make for a long time trying to cover a large area. This light is not useful to any one as it does not put out the standard amount of 10000 lux needed to be effective in light therapy. The farther away the light is from your body, the less power you experience.

The light might be effective for spot treatments or for those who wish to treat acne breakouts. For these, the LED light would be effective. You would need to clean your face before you use the light. It might be a consideration that the price is too high for such a small ineffective device. You would probably get more LED effects with a car headlight than this device can offer.

If you want to use it in alternate ways, you could always put it in your purse or bag to carry with you. The $100 price tag makes it a very expensive flash light though. I completely would not give this a try unless you get it as a gift from a very nice friend.

Each unit does come with a book telling you how to work this light, probably not a very thick book. As far as instructions, you should just be able to turn it on and apply it to where it hurts. You also receive articles relating to the light as well as research papers like they need to prove to you that it is the real thing.
